That’s awesome. Grew up the same way many of us did, discovering music at a young age.

Yep.

I remember discovering Bruce when The River came out. I was 12 or 13.

My buddy lent me the Live 1975-85 boxed set in about 1990 or so when I was in high school. Game changer.



What clinched it for me was going back to Born to Run, after I had got into The River.

No doubt. Through my older brothers and just being alive in 1985 I had heard Born in the USA, but jumping into Live 75-85 when I was about 16 or so was one of those great musical discoveries you have when your young. The beauty of the Live 75-85 is that:

1) Springsteen is epic live and that translated well on album
2) It gave me the full perspective of Springsteen’s important years. The track list is phenomenal, with the big songs and the great album tracks
