I picked Bomb because i really like the second half of the album (still hate Vertigo), but SOE is a close second.

I went ahead and picked BOMB although i feel that ATYCLB had a better flow to it,  and i am kind of shocked that it still remains without votes.  Beautiful Day is such an uplifting song that was the sound of flowers in bloom until the dark days of late 2001 came and changed us forever.

Between those two, I like ATYCLB better. And yes, it’s a little surprising it gets no vote.

ya ATYCLB is WAY better than Bomb imo. Bomb was the first sinking-gut feeling i'd had over a U2 album were i thought oh lord this is what we get now? THIS? i was SO SO mad at that album. skipped the tour even. and yes i know ATYCLB and Bomb aren't THAT different and i was high as a kite over ATYCLB when it came out, dont know what to tell ya.

SOI - it’s the best “album” from start to finish.  The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.  A strange anomaly in U2s catalogue.  An origin story concept album

I gotta say, I've warmed up a lot to Bomb over the years. I had COBL played as the entrance music for our wedding reception. When I look at the track listing, I think there are a lot of good songs.

NLOTH

Replace a couple of absolute duds like SUC, Boots, Breathe, IGCIIDGCT with stuff like the linera version of Winter and a more complete Soon - you have the makings of an excellent album.

Cedars Of Lebanon is a fantastic song, my favorite U2 tune since Pop, and in my top 15 U2 songs.

What are we going to do now it's all been said.

lots of good songs but the whole isn't greater than the sum. its painful to say but it was the first time U2 proved they were human and capable of MANY faults, all in one album no less. i will say i regret skipping the tour.

....Breathe? i don't think the chorus is THAT good but it's def not on the SUC level of dud.

I think the first halves of ATYCLB and Bomb are actually really good, but there are 4-5 song on each album that I just never listen to ever, don't even know how a few of them go.

No Line I really just listen to the first 3.  Unknown Caller, Fez, and Cedars are alright, but I never seek them out.  I do have a soft spot for Crazy Tonight as it was one of the first songs of theirs I heard, in that blackberry ad when I was like 14.  That riff is nice.

SOI is very consistently good.  I know how all the songs go, and I only dislike one (Volcano), but most of the songs are flawed or only good, not great.  EBW, Troubles, and Crystal Ballroom I'll seek out regularly,  and sometimes Cedarwood, SLABT, or Miracle too.

SOE has the utter clunkers that are Best Thing and American Soul. (So sad that that glorious little part in XXX. was ruined for the full song.  Talk about remixes, that's what I want to hear.  The full AS done in the style of the part on XXX with the piano, drums, and bass)

Besides that it's a good album, and tracks like Red Flag Day, Little Things, 13, and Summer of Love are up their with their best work imo.  Love is All We Have Left, Book of Your Heart, Showman, and Lights of Home (Strings) are all really good too.  Blackout I like but it has my name in it which takes me out of it.

Bomb has to be my choice...I've warmed to the album as time has passed...its close to How much I like Leave Behind.
I love Rock N' Roll...so I booked a room at the heartbreak hotel and there, the music plays on and on.

good call on a XXX remix of AS. THAT might save the song. it's just a shame they regurgitated Volcano of all songs and made it better but still blech.

Went with NLOTH.  I'd probably rank them:

1. NLOTH
2-3. SOI/SOE (either/or; least amount of separation between these two, anyway)
4. HTDAAB
5. ATYCLB

Completely agree, Songs Of Innocence is U2's greatest album since Achtung Baby

It's unbelievable that it only has 1 vote, ATYCLB is bloody light years better than HTDAAB, It was produced by Eno and Lanois for goodness sake! I'm convinced that this poll has been tampered with, haha
