I voted for 4th of July. This understated little gem is a perfect bridge on TUF.

As for the others, pride is just awful and Boomerang 1 and 2 are instantly forgettable.

You may laugh, Martin, but 4th of July is currently in the lead?

4th of July fits on the album better although Pride is a better live performance number.

I agree.

4th of July appeals to sophisticated folk, whereas pride appeals to the strolling crowd, half cut on warm beer, who enjoy a good singalong, but don’t have much in the way of grey matter.

That describes the couple next to me at my London concert in 2015 who thankfully spent most of the show at the bar.

U2 couldn’t even get their facts straight, so I’m not sure why the audience are wetting themselves.

I feel the same about 4th of July—it’s such an underrated song to me, it really completes TUF. Never happened with Pride as well and you are right Boomerang just does not sustain interest for me. Always feels like filler.

Ever since I first heard it, Being Born has reminded me of Boom II. Both killer tracks with a similar ambience and vibe.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

Boomerang II is awesome, one of my favorite non-album tracks ever from the band. But to be fair all the TUF-era bsides are great.
