Both songs going into a big chorus.

The Cutter was upbeat enough to get radio play & make the UK top 10.

Wasn't aware of TJIFA in the 80's. Was released as a single. Didn't even make the top 40. Video & song probably a bit too downbeat to get much exposure. So a nice surprise when I re visted The Smiths a couple of years ago

Can imagine U2 having 'The Cutter' on War in 83.

They would make it a bit more bombastic. Bono going to town in the last 60 seconds.

But it's the Bunnymen's 1983 song.
