I’m following both U2 and Simple Minds on Facebook (among others) and today, I saw an advertisement on my wall for Simple Minds’s reissue of Sparkle In The Rain (great album by the way).
But what’s funny is that the ad came from… U2’s page.
Of course there’s a link between both bands and I believe they share the same music group now that Universal bought Virgin but, still… it felt weird.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

There was a remastered version of Sparkle in the Rain in 2002 (great album indeed).

I disagree.

SITR is when they started losing it after the immaculate NYG. The production on it is horrible, too. Lillywhite has a lot to answer for…
