This entire album, save for Sometimes, is remarkable in its unremarkableness, a temple to blandness, except it’s actually offensive in its blandness whereas it could have simply been forgettable.

There is, in my opinion, something very wrong with this album. This is a band who got eaten by the monster, and that monster told them that this steaming turd was worthy of releasing and putting their names on it and proudly accepting their Lifetime Acheivement Grammy Collection for and thinking it was because anyone gave a shit about this album.

This slbum made them think anything they did would be hungrily gobbled by the grateful masses. That they were just untouchably great when in fact they produced a shameful piece of work that they should have never had the balls to release and look people in the eye afterward.

In a sea of turd after turd, it’s really hard to name a Worst. But I’ll give it to ABOY because it fucking grinds my gears that I had to listen to this piece of shit live once.

I predict that this poll will have the greatest diversity due to how universally shitty this entire album is. I went with Yahweh, but I had SO many viable options.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

Somewons not going to like this take....

I feel frustrated because I did not come close to expressing my scorn, my loathing, my disgust, and so much more.

I feel like there is some concept I’ve not put my finger on, that yet eludes me.

Twelve years. I went No Contact with the band for twelve years over this fucking travesty.

And I’m basically NC again now thanks to the post SOE embarrassments.

What i found was that nobody can take away the records you love - they'll always be there and you can call them up whenever you want no matter how long it has been and they'll be there and the shite ones don't affect those.

The shite - just forget them - they are small specks of dust in what is a fucking massive musical universe.

Although I probably like you took too long to really fully accept this even though i knew it.

Agreed. Next time I play Pop, and I intend to do it some day, it will be great.

In the meantime, listening to other stuff.

Most of this album is like 4 or 5s out of 10, mid but not particularly offensive.  Yahweh is very grating, though.

Yup

And when you do play it and love doing so it won't mean you are 'back in love with u2' or any other silly shite like that.

It will just mean you think Pop is boss.....You'll still hate the lumpen turgid shite that is Bomb, but the really good thing is you just don't have to put up with that turd!
