But I’d also like to shout out Playboy and Dead Man.

I was originally going to go with the oddly often overlooked Do You Feel Loved however all of this recent talk about another song....

The Playboy Mansion. I remember that song got dismissed for its "ironic" lyrics when in reality its a deep and personal song about keeping faith in a modern world. A gospel song at heart with Bono at his lyrical peak (as he is on most of Pop tbh). It has always been one of my favorites.

MIAMI !

One of the last times U2 explored their dark side. Song is groovy and mysterious.
The live version was a highlight of the show.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

My mammy......

Shout out to DYFL too - a song cooler than a snowman's bollocks.
I know you are here to kill me. Shoot, coward, you are only going to kill a man

DYFL. It's EASILY as good as anything else on there, but rarely gets the love it deserves.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

Classic example of how for so, so many (inc critics) Pop went over their heads.

I remember all the reviews talking about 'electronic' and 'dance' it started there and went on and on and it still exists today.

I like it a lot but don’t rate it as high as they lifted the music from another band.

My thoughts exactly. Always loved it, but it’s rarely mentioned.

DYFL is solidly my second favorite from the album, I didn’t realize other people didn’t really care for it.

I don’t think people pan it as much as overlook it.

Definitely an outstanding track.
