360 tour crew gift

This is for sale on Facebook at the moment. I find this interesting in terms of how they treat the crew. No idea of it’s common practice or not.

A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

Not super clear how much the bonus was.

If only 100$ for the entirety of the tour, that’s minimal.

I would imagine its more than that.

Maybe 1000$ was the true amount? Which would have been excellent.

$1000 bonus isn’t really that much.

Decent enough in my book for 2011.

U2 grossed $736 million in ticket sales for 270 and you think a $1,000 ‘bonus’ is generous? If the figure of $1,000 is correct, it makes a mockery of the letter claiming how valued their road crew are.

Well, we don’t know the actual amount. Or if it was the same bonus for all the crew. And we don’t even know what kind of salary the crew was making.

It’s all very speculative.

Very true.  It could be $1000 per crew member bonus which who knows how many crew members there are.  And i suspect they are all fairly well paid or at least i would hope so.  Although my few run ins with some of the crew members they were not exactly very pleasant people but then again in all fairness to them they were tired and worked their ass off to put up these massive stages only to take them down again the very next day on little to no rest.
