This. We all have different aesthetic preferences, whether that's from exposure or if certain senses of ours are more attuned to appreciate some aesthetics above others.

It's a question of preference, to be sure. Pop music is no way "superior to other art forms." I love film and I love music, but either leave me with different impressions based off the medium alone. A visceral project on film may be superior to one recorded as a pop song, but that goes vice-versa.
