I see what you did there, but Fire is an interesting contender, not because it’s at the very bottom of my rankings (it’s low but plenty of songs are worse) but it has that sort of repetitive quality built into it.

Volcano is maybe the worst “dropping the ball” moment that Bono has ever had. Instrumentally, they hit it out of the park for what it should sound like based on what the song is about. And then the lyrics are third rate at best.

I forgot about Stranger. Yeah, that’s basically a “made it up as the track was being recorded” song.

Showman has…something. There was potential there. But “a little more better” doesn’t even mean anything in the context of the song. Ok, you make it look so good on stage, I get that. But a little more better? Better than what?

“Singers cry about everything” is great though.

“You know that I know” or whatever he says is just filler slop.
