Decent list IMHO. I was only turning 14 in 1984. My knowledge of albums was sketchy....but i was starting to take an interest in albums, as a whle peice of work.

Here in the States, 1984 was far and away the best year for mainstream pop and rock in my lifetime. Yeah, they skipped Powerslave, but they skipped at least another couple of dozen as well.

The objectively best album of all time, Unforgettable Fire, was released in 1984. Thus, it was the greatest year in the history of music.  8)
