For me, one would be Depeche Mode. I recall getting my ear peirced in my mates bedroom, around 1989. He had Depeche Mode concert VHS playing as the deed was done. I have to say, at the time, i found the music to be creepy and a bit unsettling.
But here i am 30 years later, and i really enjoy/appreciate the band, more than ever. In my opinion, we need to enjoy these acts, while they are still around.
For the record, i did always enjoy the odd song from the band, here and there, but never really dived into their albums until much later in life. Im so glad i did. Brilliant band!
In the garden I was playing the tart
I kissed your lips and broke your heart
You
You were acting like it was the end of the world

Just got SOngs of Faith and Devotion on vinyl last weekend.  Great album.  This is the Song Of album U2 wishes they could make. The liner notes are interesting as well.  Gahan was deep into drug addiction and no one in the band was really communicating.  Every note was apparently argued extensively and no one enjoyed making it.  Maybe U2 needs some chaos.

I got into Leonard Cohen in my 30's and he's become one of my top 5 artists.

Chris Isaak was my late 20's and he's damn good as well.

Absolutely.

I was a very moderate fan in the 80’s when I’m Your Man came out. But didn’t explore the back catalogue then.

I took the deep dive only in the mid-00’s.

Duran Duran; I loved Notorious and Big Thing right from the drop, but only began to appreciate their other stuff in the past decade, especially the Cucurullo material.

Chick Corea. He always struck me as the King of lack of subtlety, but I began to change my mind on him about 5 years before he died. He'll never even be in my top 20 jazz artists, let alone number 1, but his compositions are strong.

George Strait. He always sounded like paint-by-numbers music calculated for the top of the country charts, but these last few years I finally hear all the emotion in his songs.

Bruce Springsteen. It took the Seeger Sessions album to make me see that my problem was/is with the E Street Band far more than it was with him and his songs. Nothing will ever make me like those first 3 albums, though, apart from "She's The One", which is pure genius.

Led Zeppelin

This. Hated LZ as a teen. Now I have all their albums. Still don't like the last two, but the first 6 are incredible.
