I'm a dog-sitter, so I have to pick dogs as the best. And, although I do love cats, too...dogs truly are woman's best friend.

I love all animals, and I totally love dogs, and dogs have earned their "best friend" place for sure. But cats are more my speed.

Of course, I have to admit I have a strong preference for big dogs over yappers and purse rats.

Oh yes, for a dog to be eligible to stay at our house, it has to weigh at least 40 lbs.

I've got a dog at home and two cats. But I've got to be honest... cats have more personality. Dogs all seem to share one Stockholm syndrome-charged mind.

I cannot begin to describe how much of a privilege it is to share my home with the cat I took in.

There's not day that passes where I don't stare at her thinking I'm lucky to have her in my life.
