so i think theyre done and id admire them for being done. to many bands hang around well past expiration.

Rush and R.E.M. both bowed out gracefully. If Radiohead chooses to do the same then I can respect that, though I will miss them. AMSP is a great final note to end on if it's true.

Rush were forced to split cos their drummer died. R.E.M just gave up for whatever reasons. Probably they fulfilled their contractual obligations with their record company.

Rush retired years before Neil died.

Relative to their lengthy career, NP died soon after what was to be their final tour. My point being, R.E.M could reform if they so wished. Rush cannot.

It is a cracking record.

It’s an improvement on the first record. The music press love whatever TY does in the same way they love whatever u2 do. I’ll give it more time but, for me, what made Radiohead so great was the song writing. I’m not getting that from the smile. It feels more like 3 blokes showing off their musicianship, rather than concentrating on the melodies
