You're the best thing

Anybody else feel like they don't want to hear this song ever again?

I think that this song would've been better served as a one-off single release and omitted from the album.

nope...I like it! No, it's not one of their best, but it's rather catchy, and fun.

Tried to like it but i'll have to turn my back on this pop ditty!

Doesn't translate live too well either.

Well, I saw it live at the Arizona show, and that's probably why I like it so much now.
To each his own, right? I admit, I like their dark, desperate tunes more, but the fun ones are, well, fun!

I don't hate it but I don't exactly love it either. I didn't mind it the first few times I heard it but I've quickly tired of it and it grates on me a bit now. I'm enjoying listening to Get Out Of Your Own Way and American Soul more than this one. The Blackout too (although I prefer the live video version of The Blackout than the studio version). I'm looking forward to hearing the other songs on the album though.

Of course, the subjectivity of music is what keeps us talking about it.

I hated it, too. One of their worst and one dimensional. But I think there are more layers in the song be found.

The only sin they have done is getting in the higher register.

No I really like it. Sounds really fresh and stripped back. It can be played quite rocky but would be equally good acoustic.

Yep. It grates. The Blackout and Get Out of Your Own Way are still holding up after repeated listens

Bleh. It's a forgettable and tiring song that continues U2's pattern of releasing the usual innocuous pop track as a lead single, and nothing more. The lyrics are throwaway, the instrumentation is bland, and its obvious intention of attaining billboard success casts a shadow over it.

GOOYOW may be even worse, as I struggle to find a more dreadful U2 song to rank behind it.

Love the song, but don't care for the arrangement. Would've loved to see the album version being about halfway between the version we have and Kygo's remix.

I prefer the acoustic version of it, myself. The album version is a bit too pop sounding for my tastes. Lyrically I really enjoy it, though.

I'm not crazy about the song, but I don't hate it...it just kind of exists. It's very bland, but it's not offensive to my ears.

It's good but I like Get Out of Your Own Way much more...I think that song is beautiful and one of the best they have done in a long time.
