We have a PJ Harvey thread, Ill try this one. My second of three female 'heroes' in life (the other is an actress so that wont work in a music thread!)

Pixies, The Breeders, The Amps, solo.....anything we want to share to celebrate an absolute musical genius.....Kim Deal.

And I highly expect to see an tha in here.

Ill start with this one.....makes me laugh and gives me alift in these days of gloom and doom!

im obsessed with the Pixies but ive never really tried her other stuff.

and for my money a female hero of mine would be Alanis. her discography is sorely overlooked apart from Jagged Little Pill.

You really should try Kim's stuff with The Breeders....you are missing some gems.

These tiny desk concerts are always a good watch and well worth checking out, loads of bands have done them.

Kim originally released the absolutely brilliant 'Walking with a Killer' as a solo project.

However, another band version showed up on their latest album (2018's All Nerve)
