What if....U2 released an album rather than doing Spiderman?

Would they have done well with the following material? Imagine the spiderman stuff being withdrawn and replaced with U2 themes?

Of course, the well knows songs, Boy Falls From the sky, Rise Above and Freak like me needs company are a radio-friendly trio, but there's some actually good material here......What do you think?

I always thought 'Boy Falls From the sky' had potential after hearing it played somewhere during the resurrected 360 Tour.

What about the A Clockwork Orange project they did as well?  Or was that only Edge?

It was Bono and Edge and I think the only thing we ever heard from it was Alex descends into hell. There was a video on YT years ago that had clips from the play and you could hear small clips of the soundtrack but nothing long enough to give an opinion one way or another.
