I'm a financial fraud investigator. I went to college for accounting (I ended up getting my CPA license). After working in 'plain old vanilla accounting' for a few years (audits, journal entries, tax computations, reconcillations, etc.) I got into auditing for fraud. Basically I get called in when somebody notices something wrong - and I investigate to find out how the assets disappeared and where they went.
I also still do CPA stuff on the side - I do taxes for extra money on the side. I enjoy budgets, spreadsheets, and numbers a lot. My wife's an accountant too - we met at work in an accounting department at a large insurance company. She didn't know much about U2 before we met, but now she's a fan.
