My Saturday night movie this weekend, was The Invisible Man. It was a decent watch. 7/10

The recent one? It looked kind of interesting for such an odd choice of remake.

Good film.  A female Death Wish.  I love 1970s and 1980s films set in New York City.  I wish I could have lived there then like Mick Jagger did.

The Impossible (2012)
Not sure how i've never heard of this one but it's a solid true story film based on one family's experience in the Tsunami of 2004.  Pretty gruesome and gut wrenching.

My dad used to go there on business back then, said it was a shithole, but he was really impressed how the city cleaned itself up in the 90’s.

I get the feeling the women were more fun back then and the cost of living there was a lot more affordable.

In Name Only (1939) Cary Grant romance film which i found odd given it's time, as he's unhappily married to a women who only wants his money, and he begins an affair with a widow single-mother, and seems like many of the characters are either adultresses or cheaters.  Was alright.

Full list of the horror films I watched this Halloween season:
Dracula has Risen from the Grave (1969)- second Dracula Hammer Film.  Okay.

Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
Revenge of the Creature (1954)
The Creature Walks Among Us (1956) The trilogy of the Gil Man and last of the classic Universal films.  Enjoyed all three.

The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) Early Polanski film featuring his late wife Sharon Tate.  Vampire comedy that is equal parts sexy.  Recommend.

The Blob (1958) Steve McQueens first starring feature.  Great.

The Haunting (1963) Film that inspired multiple re-makes and TV series.  Didn't think it was very entertaining.

Horror of Dracula (1958) First Hammer Film featuring Dracula.  Not my thing.

House of Dracula (1945) Last of the Universal classic 'monster party' films featuring multiple of theri famous monsters.  Don't think it worked.

Village of the Damned (1960) Lucky i saw this after i had a child.  Recommend.

Carnival of Souls (1962)  Great intro and ending.  Recommend.

The Mummy (1932)
The Invisible Man (1933) Two classic Universal films.  Two of the best.

Dracula (1931) The original Universal Monster film.  VERY slow.  Not very entertaining.  Sure this scared kids in '31 but i find the Charlie Brown Halloween Special scarier.

Cat People (1942) Pretty good.  Keeps the monster and all acts of violence off screen.  Spawned a few sequels.  Recommend.

I love 1970s and 1980s films set in New York City.  I wish I could have lived there then like Mick Jagger did.

Im the exact same. Movies and tv shows like Starsky and Hutch, Kojack, in the 70s, ALL gave me this real obsession with NYC. here i am now 50 and my obsession with NYC is still as bad. I watch a number of NYC based youtubers, just to get to see around the City. Id love to spend Xmas and New Year there. Maybe one day, my dreams will come true.

I've tried to avoid newer Disney films like the plague but with a 2 year old it's pretty difficult.  My son has a friend who is really into the Cars films so this past week it has been playing non-stop on the tv.  My bubs refers to it as red car.
