Just finished Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote. Rather boring and the main character is obviously gay even though the film turned this into a romance story between the two leads. This is very similar to the book that Cabaret was based on, Goodbye to Berlin. Both aren't particularly good but yet were turned into films that most people love.
I did like in the BAT book that Tiffany has vanished and it's when a carved statue is found in an African village that looks identical to her, the other characters get together and reminisce and wonder what happened to her. Very ominous.
