An absolute 10. Although, I kind of hope they skip it for the SOE tour.

Genius military drumming, quintessential Edge in the arpeggio guitar intro riff, fantastic use of drone string notes under the guitar solo melody giving a bagpipes feel. Driving bass, powerful yearning vocals.
Subject matter so raw and heartfelt in the early 80s.  The UABRS version is pure foot-stomping rock and roll with heart.  10 all the way from me!

nearly gave it a 7, but that would be for the overplaying. It's just a good song, an 8

But overplayed.
I saw Gloria live. Even if I never see the band live again, at least I saw Gloria live. :)

9. Signature U2 song, though not the best song on the War album.

10 - might be sick of hearing it these days but it stands as one their defining numbers. I love it but wouldn't miss it if they leave it out of the next tour.

The song that defined early years U2. More than I Will Follow and NYD, IMHO.

7. I love it, but it's a little oversaturated for me at this point.

6/10

I used to dislike it more in the past, but I've replaced that with indifference. It's ok, but undeserving of its praises.

One of those core U2 songs. 10.
