I had a Walkman in the 80's, just loved it. Best birthday gift ever !!
Had a lot of self made tape recordings, listening to the radio and
recording songs i liked. Quite a bit of work...... but it was worth it.

I saved forever for my Walkman...and was so pissed off every time the school bus hit a bump in the road and the darn thing skipped!
do you mean a disc man?  With CDs?   We actually had them for tapes before the CD came out lol

Oh, no...I meant the tapes!
I didn't have the actual "Walkman" brand...I had a knock-off RadioShack equivalent. It also liked to eat my cassettes every now and again

Yes, my walkman did like to eat tape just like yours. I always took a pencil and tried to restore it. Most of the time no harm done. But sometimes real bad sound because of folds in the tape. When i recorded a song from radio i mostly got the DJ introduction of a song as well **smiles**
