Ok, let’s do our music artist sports star equivalent

Bruce Springsteen -> Tom Brady

Lengthy legendary career with no big downturn in their play

U2 -> Christiano Ronaldo

Played forever, hit huge heights, but faded bad in the later part of their career

Radiohead -> Russel Wilson

Not as good as they were made out to be. Irrelevant for the later part of their career.

Coldplay -> Trevor Lawrence

The next big thing and hyped by the media, but was never very good

Led Zeppelin ~> Bobby Orr

Burst onto the scene, best in the game, but didn’t have a long run

The Rolling Stones -> Pele

Changed the game. Played forever. Revered for their accomplishments

Elvis -> Muhammad Ali

Face of the industry

Back on topic... one could argue U2 have already retired.  They just don't realize it yet.
