thinking most would hate them or claim never to have listened to any of their stuff. Far from it, mostly positive views:

More so than on here, this so-called fansite!
"There's nothing wrong with U2. As far as I'm concerned, I've stolen from Larry Mullen's career for years. Without Larry, I wouldn't be able to stomp and sing, it'd be difficult. I mean I owe debts to the Bhundu Boys, Larry Mullen, Stewart Copeland. They're good players, and they're great songwriters" - Gary "Reni" Wren, drummer, The Stone Roses reunion press conference, 18/10/2011

"I'd just like to put on record that that's bobbins" - Ian Brown, singer, ditto

Nice to read some of those comments. U2 will never be ‘cool’, but their music has undoubtedly reached and affected lots of people, whether they admit it or not.

I’m not sure I would call Talku2 a fan site. It’s a place where people like to talk about U2 but don’t necessarily like them.

And, honestly, even if I’m sometimes tired of the negativeness around, I think people kissing their feet and thinking everything they touch is gold is more boring.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

Interestingly enough i grew up near the rose rock capital of the world ~

Today on our way to watch a football game i was switching around channels on XM and found 'moment of surrender' on u2 xm station.  Hadnt heard it in a while but it easily one of (if not the best) better songs by this band of the 21st century.  Even though they seemed to have cut about a minute from the song for whatever reason - otherswise it sounded liek the album version.

im not drunk,  okay

Its really reminded me of how great this band was or could be.  The song came out in part of the delcline or what many of us think of,  an album with a middle section of clunkers.  Saw it four times on the three sixty tour played live

Look,  the game didnt go our way today,  in shocking fashion.  I have seen worse but expactations were high.

On the way home was listening to XM F1rst waVe and the Stone Roses song '
wanna be adored' which does get a lot of airplay came on....i was crusing about 80 which meant i wanted to get home and have some beer in the hot tub after the ass whooping.

I wanna be adored,  or maybe just loved.  But if im not,  certainly im no t in the stations of the cross.

love love love

i know the Angel told me
"buckle up,  boy"

its coming

There is a chicken in the house and Elvis is chasing it

moth to the flame,  guysss
