"There's nothing wrong with U2. As far as I'm concerned, I've stolen from Larry Mullen's career for years. Without Larry, I wouldn't be able to stomp and sing, it'd be difficult. I mean I owe debts to the Bhundu Boys, Larry Mullen, Stewart Copeland. They're good players, and they're great songwriters" - Gary "Reni" Wren, drummer, The Stone Roses reunion press conference, 18/10/2011

"I'd just like to put on record that that's bobbins" - Ian Brown, singer, ditto

Whatever your pick for Greatest Song Ever Written By Anyone may be, Dancing Queen is second.

The rest of their catalogue absolutely blows dying goats.

On balance, fuck ABBA.

Really don't agree. Surprised to see you post that, I've thought your taste pretty good.

It's kind of funny- everyone knows at least one superfan of ABBA. I don't get it personally.  Once in Sweden i did see a t-shirt for sale that simply said 'ABBA the shirt'.  Thought it was pretty funny.

I can't stand Knowing Me Knowing You, but that might because of Alan Partridge.  Only after watching the show many times did i find out that was an ABBA song.

Can't stand Knowing Me Knowing You either, Partridge ruined that one for me.

Married to an ABBA superfan. It’s a bit of a burden.  ;D

Although I must admit Winner Takes It All is quite a good song.
