What do you love about With a Shout ?

Great intro. Larry start exploring new kinds of sounds. I think this and the refugee will lead to A sort of Homecoming, as far as drums sounds are concerned.

I’d put With a Shout in the same category as Rejoice. Lots of energy. October might not be U2’s best album but it gave them the opportunity to put on longer shows and widen their range.

Love the trumpet bit too.

Edge's riff is epic and it has a driving energy that encapsulated so much about early U2.

I also love the trumpet and the reference to Psalm 47, verses 5 and 6:

  "God has gone up with a shout
        the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
        Sing praises to God, sing praises!
        Sing praises to our King, sing praises!"

I didn’t know the trumpet reference. I find it cool that they translated that litterally into music.
