Guy walks into a bar

“What kind of IPAs do you have?”

My brain….(this guy really doesn’t like IPAs but it’s his opening gambit to sound knowledgeable and get decent service)

This is my biggest pet peeve.

and what is your top beer recommendation for a customer who doesn't have a clear preference?

Lager, Amber Ale, or Pilsner

I dig Kona

not bad recommendations.

it does seem like you are assuming the IPA inquiries are coming from people who want to sound 'cool'?  Is that right?

Perhaps they are simply looking to try something different.  Possible?

Tonight some guy came up to the taps.  To inquire.  We I asked him what type of beer he liked he said in hushed tones he didn’t like IPAS.

I told him that a Warsteiner in a proper glass was a million times better than an IPA.

On the flip side there was an older couple that wanted to sample three of the IPAs.

We have too many IPAs while a keg of Irish red ale sits idle.

Well, I copied a bunch of statistics from the Ukraine thread in case this was the end, so at least now I have a back up for all that info that is in that thread.

Why the fuck am i able to see this post?  I had blocked you permanently through my computer (not a function of this site).  Something with the maintenance shutdown must have reversed this..?

Honestly, I don’t know.

Try again with your blocking activation and if it doesn’t work, I will look into it.

For what it's worth, the people I've blocked have stayed blocked. Used the onsite function, though.
