I thought they were supposed to be hard at work on the studio?
Theres a social media post showing Bono and his mate Guggi... wining and dining at some restaurant in Italy.
And I though B, was allergic to alcohol ?!?

I just scoured YouTube and found the 2014 beach clips were actually a near finished version of Invisible. I think the beach clips of unfinished album material were primarily no line and HTDAAB.

I was just wondering if any of the leaked beach clips actually became a finished song.

From HTDAAB, Vertigo (though I think the beach clip was Native Son), ABOY, Miracle Drug and LAPOE all made it to the album.

There were more clips in 2006, when U2 was working with Rick Rubin, and only Window in the skies was released. There was one called "All my life", but I don't think that ever became anything.

Here's one called "Thank you" which eventually became a Daniel Lanois song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNRjCUULz1o

Here's another link from the HTDAAB era: https://youtu.be/EO8arThAKfk. All my life.

From SOI era, I think Invisible was the main one. From SOE, I don't remember any beach clips, though the entire album leaked two weeks before it was due to be released, so - there's that.
Thanks for sharing that. I never paid much attention to the beach clips but was aware of them so i was just curious.

Maybe Bono has been banned from playing loud music hence non more beach clips.

Am concerned no real news leaked about being in studio or seen together. Think that’s because they’re not really relevant?

I think the media doesn't know where to look. In the early days, it was Windmill Lane, then it was Hanover Quay. Both have been demolished, and U2 hasn't revealed where they are actually recording. So the media would have to follow their movements to figure it out. Meanwhile, I would think recent photos of Bono and Guggi in Italy mean very little, since you can do that quickly and easily if you have a private jet.

I thought they were recording in a London studio?
Thats what I heard. One of the tracks is an outlier... someone overheard the session.... its drum n bass, sounding.

I doubt all four would be in London. Adam doesn't live in London anymore, he's back in Danesmoate, which he has owned since 1988, and which is where a lot of the Joshua Tree was recorded. Edge and Bono both live in Killiney, even though Edge has a home in Malibu and Bono has one in Manhattan, and both share a villa in Eze. Larry Mullen lives in Howth.

My guess is the main recording location is Danesmoate. It's a private location, and would require media or fan attention on the bass player, so it's a great place to get away from any attention. It has three private entrances along with some back-door access through neighboring estates if needed, and it's right off Dublin's main ring-road, the M50. It's the perfect place to hide in plain sight.

My guess is they're planning on all going to Eze next month, where they have a recording studio. Larry and Adam both have homes within a ten minute drive of the main home Bono and Edge share.

About time you brought something to the table.
"There's nothing wrong with U2. As far as I'm concerned, I've stolen from Larry Mullen's career for years. Without Larry, I wouldn't be able to stomp and sing, it'd be difficult. I mean I owe debts to the Bhundu Boys, Larry Mullen, Stewart Copeland. They're good players, and they're great songwriters" - Gary "Reni" Wren, drummer, The Stone Roses reunion press conference, 18/10/2011

"I'd just like to put on record that that's bobbins" - Ian Brown, singer, ditto

Nice neck of the woods to live.

We must be getting close to last album territory here. They’ll be well into their 70s on a follow-up to this one - when it comes in 2026.

So do they call it Man or was that effectively SOE?

Could also not call it anything U2 (self titled).

Or call it “the Apple Controversy” but actually be focussed on AI commentary 🤣

The Rolling Stones are still recording and touring in their 80s.

I'd say U2 has at least another 35 years of recording and touring! Seven to Ten more albums!
