The Dating Scene, in 2025?
« on: March 08, 2025, 10:12:27 AM »
Am i the only single pringle on this forum? Are there other singletons out there? Any stories to share?

I pretty much gave up hope. I was trying for a long time (online dating) to find somoene special. Wasnt interested in quantity....more quality.
My experiecne is, that online dating was good, until Tinder and its algrithms came along. Overnight, it killed off all hopes for everyday joe types, like myself.
Investigations seem to hold up, that 90% of women are now only interested in the top 5-8% of men.
I used to do real well, as far as getting interest from the ladies wnt. But since tinder started up, i barely get any interest now at all. So i basically gave up, a few years back.

On the rare occasion that i would get interest, as soon as i mention im carer to my special needs son, i get dropped like a shitty stick. Most women arent even subtle about it.

I think im just better off on my own. Anyone got anything they like to share?

The online world apps and social media has queered the pitch for everyone who was used to interacting, and wants to continue to interact, in the real world.

Large swathes of young males are thoroughly black-pilled these days and about 30% of males aged 18-30 haven't had sex in at least a year.  Unprecedented times for that age group.

Swerve all that online shite, pal.

There are loads of decent women out there and the best way to meet them is organically through your social life....Whether that is down the local ale house, coffee shop or through being a member of a running club or a gym or a social club/group or in a team.....etc etc etc....Wherever you go to spend time or whatever you enjoy doing as a hobby or a passtime - the potential list is of course endless and the best thing about it is you control 100% how long and wide it is....

Oooh errr!  ;)

I know someone who might be able to help you out, a real expert on this area he is.

"There's nothing wrong with U2. As far as I'm concerned, I've stolen from Larry Mullen's career for years. Without Larry, I wouldn't be able to stomp and sing, it'd be difficult. I mean I owe debts to the Bhundu Boys, Larry Mullen, Stewart Copeland. They're good players, and they're great songwriters" - Gary "Reni" Wren, drummer, The Stone Roses reunion press conference, 18/10/2011

"I'd just like to put on record that that's bobbins" - Ian Brown, singer, ditto

This is some good advice from an tha, Smee. You would do well to listen to it, even if you choose not to heed it.

By the way...what are you looking for in a woman? Are these women not giving you a chance all childless? You've started a number of threads like this, and - at least in the ones I checked out - you never mention what it is about them (or any women) that you find attractive.

How often are you out and about with your son? Women will pick up on how you care for him. What's your demeanor like when you're out with your boys? They'll clock that, too.

Maybe they should put the phones down and go out and interact with females. The old fashioned way.

I agree.

My 26yo son met his last girlfriend because of his passion of basketball. They met court side at a college game, not through some online dating thing, like Tinder.

But the females are on their phones.

Coffee shops, lounges, pubs, gyms, clubs, rec centres, etc… all still seem to be open.
