I went with TUF and Elevation. The former had a haunting, almost mystical quality and I loved the stripped back elevation stage setup.

The 360 tour was the best stage set up the band ever had for the fans. If you were in GA in the inner ring, you were often in very close proximity to the band with the stage, catwalk, and two movable bridges going just over the crowd from stage to catwalk. At certain points, Bono could be right above you on a bridge, the Edge to your right on the other bridge, Adam in front on the stage, and Larry in back of you on the catwalk.

270 was awful. Most people weren’t in the inner ring, for a start. The stage set was ugly and was conceptually moribund. Bonos terminator look was terrible, too. Plus, at the gig I was at, they massacred TUF.

Unforgivable.

Just awful.

Well, Zoo TV had the best stage setup. Of, like, any tour from any artist, in my opinion.

Second choice is Zoo TV 2.0, PopMart - lemon, martini, just fantastic. I may be alone there but I’m all in.

Outside Broadcast was way to big.

POPMART was daring, for sure. Did it work? Sometimes. Did it misfire on occasion? Absolutely. Do I wish they’d never done it? No. That accolade goes to 270. Overall, I enjoyed the POPMART show I saw, despite misgivings.
