Merging 2 U2 albums to produce another JT

Only rules are -

11 songs.

Album tracks only.

A 5/6 spread between the albums.

Ideally the album should have a flow.

If that was released in 87, I would not be disappointed.

Only song I would change is UC. Deleting the 60+ seconds of doddling at the beguinning. No doddling on my JT. But that is another issue.

If U2 had gone for another JT in 89, it may have ended up like the above R&H/AB merge.

They would want to keep TJT momentum going & end the decade on a huge high while simultaneously wanting to experiment a bit.

Out of the conflict of interests they come up with a masterpiece

U2 have released several JT quality albums since 1980. 

It's just that you have to merge two albums to get them.

The exception was in 1987.

Some fans prefer other U2 albums. But TJT is the benchmark.

It will always be highest in 'best ever albums' lists. Often in the top 10 or top.

U2 are not perfect. But being able to merge several combinations of two albums to produce other JT's is an impressive feat.
