Don't believe Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fears & Depeche Mode would do it.

Most of these artists have not played WS. Or just played one song at Live Aid.

Gives both the fans and artists the chance to get the WS experience. Before the artists or fans pop there clogs.

I constantly see tours with a lineup of famous 80's group.  What's significant about playing in a giant stadium where most people can't see shitt of the performance?

Culture Club could open the show. Karma Chamelean was the biggest seller of 84.

Frankie could close the show with Relax. Only song I know that went to number 1, fell out of the top 20, then went back to number 2.

What would Wet Wet Wet without Marti Pellow play?

Wet Wet Wet had 3 UK number 1's and 13 top 10's  A few good songs there.

There biggest hit was an inferior version of The Beatles stomper 'With a Little help from my friends'.

The line up above is not relying on one artist. They would all be equal.

If a DD or Thompson Twins pull out, a Haircut 100, Ultravox or Dexy's could step in.

It could be a charity concert. Which would increase the chances of it being televised.

A mini Live Aid.

Artists would not be getting a fee. But would be getting extra exposure. That didn't do Queen or U2 any harm.

An all day event it is likely seats would be put on the pitch. As was the case with the Diana concert.

Doubtful the fans there would be regulars at Donnington & be used to standing all day.

Suppose Larry has been all over the internet trying to drum up support for this concert.

He can then boast about how DD have played WS.

Tears for Fears are in a bit of a limbo when it comes to WS.

They may think they are above sharing a stage with teenyboppers CC & DD. But have not been big enough to headline WS.

At the end of the day they did only have around 10 hits & no UK number 1's. Although some classics included.
