Good on Larry for backing the film and for disclosing his diagnosis - it's bound to help others. Brief interview but, as always, he makes every word count.

I think this deserves a proper thread.

Great cause and it?s nice for a change to see Larry stepping up and being an advocate.

(This seems edited, but good nonetheless)

I thought he was doing something for the 25th anniversary of ATYCLB.

So Larry is Dyslexic? I didn't know that.

I'm surprised one of them hasn't done a benefit for autism.

Bono I believe is the Rapturist, if that is a word, in the band and can frequently be seen walking the backstreets of Dalkey and Killiney bearing a placard with "Repent - the end is nigh!" on it.

His son is.

Larry has the mathematical equivalent.

Some thoughts:

Larry is reverse-aging again. He looks better than he has in a few years, but it doesn?t look like obvious work, as far as I can tell.

He is nowhere near the talker that the others are. Obviously Bono is a world champion, but man, Larry is a tough interview to make interesting.

Sounds like Larry?s son was a real disaster waiting to happen. Police being called to the house? That sounds like much more than dyslexia. Wondering how much this has to do with the fact that Larry is arguably not even on the albums now. Although his son is almost 30, so I?m assuming life has moved on.

He says in the interview that they had a lot of trouble with his son, including police at their house. He also says that he thinks if they didn?t get the dyslexia thing figured out, his son would be in jail.

Can a moderator please merge this with a previous thread on same subject:

https://forum.talku2.com/index.php?topic=8951.msg444217#msg444217

Unfortunately the link to the Times interview in the other thread doesn't seem to work any more but it was a short interview where he talked about his own dyscalculia and his son's dyslexia.

Many thanks
