Two atmospheric 80's classics.

Both reaching number 2 in the UK.

Heard Freddie stormed into his managers office demanding to know why it has not made number 1.

Midge couldn't complain. The ground breaking 'Shaddap Your Face' kept him off top spot!

I only recently listened to Vienna because i read the new Bret Easton Ellis book The Shards and its featured heavily throughout the book (like most BEE, the 80's is the setting and there's lots of music referenced and even a spotify channel that serves as a soundtrack to the book). I like the song alright, but this is easily Radio Ga Ga for me.  The music video is great with the homage to Fritz Lang's 1927 silent sci-fi materpiece Metropolis. A bit gay, but still great.  Also featured in Trainspotting 2 which is when i really began to listen to it.  Read that Queen performed the song in every single one of their concerts after it was released and is where Lady Gaga took her stage name from.

Yes Radio Ga Ga works well in concert. Most famously at Live Aid.

The best part of Vienna is the instrumental.

As with Mirror Man & Temptation, no easy feat getting a UK no 1 then.
