It was a bit disappointing overall but there were moments, like Bad, that reminded us what an unbelievable band U2 are. Thoughts?

I really believe the weather played its part on putting a dampner (no pun intended) on the performance. Truth be told tho, for me, the 360 tour was a bit flat. Possibly my least fave u2 tour ever. The Glasto performance doensnt improve my opinions any. Maybe it will click with me one day (after all, opinions do change....like my views on the u2 Live Aid Performance)

Fish out of water. Without all their ‘yes’ people, u2 don’t know what to do. I’m sure the tax protests didn’t help, either.

It showed how U2 are now vulnerable and dependant on augmentation. I personally thought the show was kind of fresh because the augmentation didn't quite work. But the band hated the performance for it.

Kinda sad to be such an incredible live act and... then not.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

It gave us the awful song Glastonbury which the main riff was later used in several other awful songs.

It’s impressive how good Glastonbury seems in comparison to its child and grandchild song. But that main guitar riff in the chorus still sucks.

I thought it was a good performance, even though the band was clearly nervous and had technical issues. I do think they need to go back to basics and stop relying on so much assistance and tech, as they are clearly lost without it in many cases.

the most interesting thing about that show was the interview immediately afterwards.  Larry was going on about how bad the stage setup was, with the audience so far away.  You could tell that if they gave him an hour to talk about it, he would have taken every second.  B&E had to basically cut in and start talking positively about everything....  If I weren't so lazy I'd look for that footage on YT or wherever.

They should've played Glasto in the '80s (if it was even around then). They would have crushed it in like '83.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.
