Elvis Ate America is awful. Elvis Presley and America, however, is an outstanding song, on an outstanding LP, pride notwithstanding.

I don’t completely hate Elvis Ate America just because it’s kind of funny. But EPAA wins easily. Just a great, unique track that probably wouldn’t work on any other album with any other singer.

I agree with you, despite the tagline under my avatar.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

Not much of a competition with this one... but, at the same time, I actually do quite like Elvis Ate America.

I quite like Elvis Ate America, it's a fun track - I'd view it as similar to Party Girl, Wild Honey, Miami.  But I'm not going to say it's superior to Elvis Presley and America, it isn't.
"There's nothing wrong with U2. As far as I'm concerned, I've stolen from Larry Mullen's career for years. Without Larry, I wouldn't be able to stomp and sing, it'd be difficult. I mean I owe debts to the Bhundu Boys, Larry Mullen, Stewart Copeland. They're good players, and they're great songwriters" - Gary "Reni" Wren, drummer, The Stone Roses reunion press conference, 18/10/2011

"I'd just like to put on record that that's bobbins" - Ian Brown, singer, ditto
