While I find most of ATYCLB okay, I always thought New York was a standout track. I especially like that "down to Alphaville" and then the chorus. What do you guys think?

For me.....in more ways than just the name of a place, the song reminds me of Miami. I think both songs are great and become Monstorously good when played live

New York also has an insomnia vibe about it for some reason.

I loved this song. Particularly the intro. This would be great to reintroduce to the live set.

I'd love to hear it live. First thought I had when I heard it yesterday

There are some interesting underlying sonics with New York... it is much deeper than the rest of All That You Can't Leave Behind. The lyrics are a bit meh and I don't think that Edge's contributions to the song have aged particularly well (the chorus, namely).

I used to like the song, but now I feel indifferent towards it.

It's in my personal Top 20. Sublime and criminally underrated song.

Certain songs are like paintings or movies, cause they are able to capture a mood or convey a certain imagery: New York is one of them.

One of the best from ATYCLB in my view. Really good live song that I wish they'd go back to for future setlists.

I've listened to some stuff from ATYCLB recently, and it's not as bad as I thought. I always said ATYCLB was my least favorite album, sometimes tied with SOI, but I've listened to them again and they're alright. I guess there isn't really a "worst" U2 album.

ive always loved this song and loved it on the Elevation tour. its very underrated. people talk about the second half of ATYCLB being too boring, i find this to be a great high energy song amidst the POE's and WILATW's of the second half.

For me SOI is worlds ahead of ATYCLB but to each his own

It's an okay tune but it's buried in the back half of a dull album.
