I've been watering the fake palm trees all morning.  Okay not quite all morning,  i did go into the office for 2 hours and made it back home just as the sun was beginning its rise.  Then i started watering the fake trees with a sprinkler because i like to hear the birds sing.  Will probably take a nap soon once the watering has stopped.

I was walking down the sidewalks looking into windows of the city shoppes when i felt an unusual amount of warmth in a particular area.  I stopped and it was at this moment a lady was passing by on the otherwise empty side of the street.  She looked me in the eyes and at first i felt as though there was nothing particularly nefarious about this woman.

But then as she was right beside me she paused for a brief moment,  and i could see her green eyes change to red, her auburn flowing hair changed into hissing serpents,  and out of her mouth the foulest stench of sulphur as she spoke an otherworldly language i could not understand.  I can still hear that voice - whatever it was.

And in a brief second she was again completely normal and smiling as she passed on by;  the extreme heat that radiated from her presence was now replaced by a pleasant breeze.

As i walked down to the street corner the voice kept repeating Itsel in my head - like a swarm of locusts it grew louder and louder.  At this point a hapless bum approached me with rotting teeth and a cheap cardboard sign claiming to be homeless and in need of my help.  With the voice continuing to echo between my ears,  i pulled out of my coat a jungle knife and sliced his throat repeatedly until the voices slowly began to fade away.

I watched the man lay on the sidewalk as the last bit of blood spilled from his body onto the sidewalk.  After cleaning my jungle knife on his ragged clothing,  i reached into my pocket and grabbed a few bucks and put it into the mans lifeless hands,  and then quietly went on with the rest of my day.

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life and realize there's nothin' left
'Cause I've been blastin' and laughin' so long that
Even my momma thinks that my mind is gone
But I ain't never crossed a man that didn't deserve it
Me be treated like a punk, you know that's unheard of
You better watch how you talkin' and where you walkin'
Or you and your homies might be lined in chalk
I really hate to trip, but I gotta loc
As they croak, I see myself in the pistol smoke
Fool, I'm the kinda G the little homies wanna be like
On my knees in the night, sayin' prayers in the streetlight

Power and the money, money and the power
Minute after minute, hour after hour
Everybody's runnin', but half of them ain't lookin'
It's going on in the kitchen, but I don't know what's cookin'
They say I gotta learn, but nobody's here to teach me
If they can't understand it, how can they reach me?
I guess they can't, I guess they won't
I guess they front, that's why I know my life is out of luck, fool
