Well, see, this is a forum for people who are interested in the rock group “U2”. Sometimes we discuss their music, sometimes things that the band is doing, especially their lead singer, and we also discuss aspects of the production of their albums, like making up stories about a guitarist who didn’t play on them, for example.

Sometimes people share interactions with or connections that they have to things associated with the band. Steve Lillywhite was a producer for many of U2’s abums, for which he won multiple music industry awards, known as the “Grammy” (named for the gramophone symbolized by the trophy).
My brother happened to be at Lillywhite’s very home in New York City recently, which would be one of those connections to things associated with the band that people sometimes talk about on here. These are some of the said “Grammys”, won for production on albums by the band know as “U2”, which might possibly be familiar to you from the name of this forum.

Wow.
Did your brother talk with Steve ? He’s a great storyteller.

No, I think he spends most of his time in Bali. His wife still lives at the New York place, because I think they are split, though not divorced.
I don’t know exactly why my brother was there, but he used to work in the music industry, and still plays in bands with people who were in bands you’ve heard of.

Cool story and photos.

If it were me i would have been like "my BIL is a plumber in NYC and apparently Lillywhite had Bono over for dinner at his residence.  After dinner Bono had gotten so stuffed that he took a massive dump that stopped up all of the toilets,  therefore my BIL was called in to fix the clogged pipes and that is when he stumbled on the awards and was able to snap some pictures"
