I voted for option 4. Some of the visual effects are astonishing and the band sound good, but I have no interest in experiencing rock n roll in a glorified imax.

Even if you haven’t, your opinion is still important!

I mean, you don’t have to experience life in a concentration camp to have an opinion on forced labour.

Not really.

Yes, the visuals are impressive and it's certainly a sight to behold, but I think most of us expected that. It's a cool venue but once you get over the spectacle it's just more of the same, minus Larry this time around. I'm curious to see where it will go from here but it's not enough to make me want to buy a ticket. I'm glad to see those who are going having a good time though!

For sure.

I’d pay $150 to see it as it’s pretty much a glorified imax with a band playing on a postage stamp.

Is it the future of live entertainment? No, that’s the bullshit you’ve been sold by the billionaire owners.

Music doesn’t thrive in vegas in gigantic venues. It thrives in sweaty clubs.

The sphere suits u2 perfectly and I’m sure it’s very impressive. But following the narrative that it’s the future of Rick n roll is daft.

I’m mildly happier than I feared.

You’ll have a great time.

I think these shows rely on expectation. They’re not my idea of ‘punk rock’ so I wouldn’t bother going. Even so, the technology is very impressive if short lived, as technology always is.

A mixed bag, then.

I noticed from what I’ve read across many online places that Bono has dropped the political talk.

People in here were afraid it would be an endless thing at these shows.

I thought differently and the show is exactly what I was expecting.

One nice surprise would be that they do indeed rotate from different albums in the middle section. Hope it’s true.

So my answer is option 2

Yah.

It’s encouraging he’s dropped the lecturing around politics etc although astonishing u2 now have an opinion on climate change.

I mean, WTAF?

perhaps he finally realized it was costing him and the band a lot of fans and he wizened up?

That we would have gotten a show any common subway busker could have equalled… or bettered.
