I kinda got excited over the past couple of weeks, then I read that interview with Friday. It’s endless bullshit from camp U2 these days.

I’m happy to be converted, but I don’t expect much.

Yeah.   The whole “more Rock n Roll” than ever stuff is hogwash.

Bullet, SBS, Zoo TV was real rock n roll.

Yah ‘more rock n roll than ever’ is the equivalent of ‘edge is on fire’. I’d love to know how much this clown is being paid for this claptrap.

I'm always interested in a new U2 show, at least initially, to see what the staging looks like and to find out the setlist etc.  I've always been fascinated by setlists since I was a teenager and used to read Record Mirror because they included the full setlist in their concert reviews.

How is this mate of Bono, Gavin Friday getting the gig?
Some bullshit curator role.
If I was in the band, I would not stand for it.

I’d say more but it’s not anything to do with any interviews or the new song, just anticipation as it is soon and the sphere looks cool.  Also excited to hear songs that haven’t been played in a while like Love Is Blindness

Bono's the band leader.

It's rare to still have the same friend one's had since childhood, especially as one becomes super successful and famous.

I went with 'has not changed'.  I'll tune in to see what they are doing but really pretty down on the U2 Corporation these days.

The Gavin Friday quote read like Bono wrote it, handed it to him and said 'now read this verbatim chap, and remember who puts food on your table.'

I’m still the same: not terribly excited but will be curious to see what others have to say.

It’s “edge is on fire” after it aged 20 years, put on golf pants and moved to Florida.

I opted for "Nothing Has Changed," but I'm increasingly getting to the point where one or two more serious missteps and I become a former U2 fan.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.
