U2's Massive new single 'ELEPHANT' set to drop ahead of Las Vegas Tour.
The song - a fast paced rocker with a twist - sounds for all the world like The Fly lands in Las Vegas and decides to take up a residency. With searing guitars and a bassline that resembles an Act of God, this is the most biblical U2 has sounded in years, and that's only the music. The lyrics seem to reach high into the heavens and possibly way down below as well. Aside from the odd clunker of a line where Bono rhymes "sky" with "high" or when he sings about having "giant ears for sound and a massive trunk to pound", the lyrics are quite poetic and an awkward yet pleasant surprise for a debut in sin city. Look for U2 to play The Sphere this fall, ticket packages available including airfare and hostel accommodations with or without escort*
