What would you like to see bono wearing at the sphere shows?

The Sphere shows are nearly upon us. The original ZOOTV tour featured bono wearing a variety of costumes. What would you like to see him wearing this time?

My feeling is it’s useless attempting to capture the spirit of ZOOTV, and that includes the costumes.

As I’ve previously suggested, they’re much better off reinventing the original premise, for the digital age. So much potential, but will they realise it?

I’d just prefer an update on the themes of the whole thing, including costumes or other references that critique the modern technological era, which has gotten completely out of hand. I’d love it if they used the show to highlight the underhand ways tech companies and therefore governments are stealthily monitoring our every move for their own benefit and the public’s detriment.

Something like that.

Alas, as u2, and bono in particular, are buddies with those involved and are arguably complicit, I will expect nothing of the sort at the sphere. We’ll probably get a celebration of the tech companies rather than a critique.

So I don’t think bono will be donning the macphisto outfit as he directs his ire at Zuckerberg et al.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with. I bet the name Trump will get a mention again though. Yawn……..

Yeah taking potshots at trump is boring and predictable. And I think you’re right, bono is not likely to bite the band that feeds and start attacking social media and big tech.

I didn’t expect anything even remotely interesting from TJT PT2 and they didn’t deliver anything even remotely interesting. ZOOTV PT2 does at least have potential.

It does have a lot of potential, but u2 aren’t savy enough these days (or are too frightened) to highlight the real wrongs that are happening in today’s world. I’m sure the whole thing will look great, and I hope it sounds great, which, really, should be the most important thing. The potential is endless, agreed. But do u2 have the balls to be as cutting as they once were back in the 90’s, that’s the question.

Little by little, as they grew more wealthy and successful, that kind of fight drained away from them. When bono calls U2 ‘punk’ it makes me want to vomit, to be honest. Agreed. I just fucking hope he doesn’t wear all black again. How boring will that be amongst the backdrop of the most colourful, modern presentation in history? Make a statement bono and edge ffs and update your presentation. It has been the same oul garb for the last 20+ years.

Btw, you just know Trump’s famous mugshot will be plastered all over that huge screen, with photoshopped horns and trident and maybe a tail added for effect.

I think it's basically certain we get MacPhisto back given he was there on the last tour.  I would prefer to see some new characters and some good, incisive political commentary, but we will almost certainly not be getting that from current-day Bono.

Maybe bono will come out on stage dressed in all-green fatigues like his hero zelensky, as we all know bono loves people who aren’t taller than 5”5. Bono will make a speech dressed as macphisto saying how much he loves trump and Putin and that he put them on earth to carry out his evil agenda. That’ll make his friends in the Democratic Party fawn over his tubby arse, guarantee him a statue in Davos and lifelong membership of the WEF.

I have so little interest in this band anymore I could not bother to give a rat's ass what they do at the Sphere. 

However they are not marketing this as another Zoo TV... in fact I don't recall seeing any mention of Zoo TV so I would think they are going to do something very different.  I'm sure there will be elements that harken back to that tour but would expect a completely new presentation.

Bono was an early investor in FaceFuck iirc.  So he's in no position to criticize them.

I'd also expect endless shout-outs to his celeb & political 'friends' traveling there from LA and other hot spots.  It will be very, very tedious.
