The 50 Greatest Rock Lead Singers of All Time
https://www.billboard.com/lists/best-rock-singers-bands-lead-vocalists/

As with all subjective lists, some hit's and misses.  I do have a really hard time with Stevie Nicks at #2 and Jagger at #1.  They should be on the list, but not that high.  Our boy "B" at #9 but I'm thinking mostly due to his work from about 83 - 00, his vocals since 00 have taken a downward trend, especially the last two tours and albums, as we all debate, I really think that should knock him down several pegs.

Having Roger Daltrey any lower than top ten (or even top three) is a travesty.

Chris Cornell was 15 or 16 spots lower than he should've been, but the real laughers are 1 and 2. I'd be embarrassed to sign my name to that nonsense. Fucking pathetic. Nicks wasn't even the greatest female singer in Fleetwood Mac.  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Sting should be in the top 10, but these fools don't even include him on the list.

John Fogerty?

Michael Hutchence? INXS were arguably 'rock' at least as much as they were 'new wave', no?

I do agree that Chris Cornell was ranked too far down the list, and also that Sting should appear somewhere on there.

That list made me laugh on several occasions.

Also… Sinéad ? Morrissey ?

Sting is a fantastic songwriter.

But a great singer?

Take a look at these videos of him singing Roxanne and Message In A Bottle by himself with just a guitar.

I've listened to hundreds of concerts, primarily from his years with the Police, but also many from his solo career. I've seen him a dozen times solo in concert and 4 times with the Police. Should definitely be in the top 10, and shocking this little group of people did not even put him in the top 50.

I’ve seen The Police twice.

Sting solo 3 times.

And also one show with Peter Gabriel.

I also accidentally « bumped » into him backstage in ‘83  ;D
