Was there...both nights. Greatest weekend of my life. When it comes to weekends....it doesnt get much better than Back to Back u2 Zoo TV shows, in Glasgow 10/10
In the garden I was playing the tart
I kissed your lips and broke your heart
You
You were acting like it was the end of the world

Fuck you.

PS - What I mean is, I'm SO jealous of you.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

Summer of 1993, 30 years ago….

I saw U2 3 times.

May 26th, I was just by the B stage.
June 26th, I was far off on a stupid field.
July 14th, I was in the lower seats.

Good times. It was so awesome being a U2 fan back then. You could have thrown anything at me, I would not have cared.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

On the saturday night....my anxiety got the better of me....so me and one of my mates headed for a seat in the old "Jungle" at Celtic Park.
The sunday, i coped much better and managed to get a place right at the front, in the pen. Plenty of space to move around in there.

As far as my history with u2 and anxiety goes...well, i recall standing in the que to see the Edinburgh Popmart show. I was in quite a state (highly excited and hyperventilating).
I gave myself a telling off.....i convinced myself that u2 were just people, like me and they were not Gods. Since then, i have been much calmer at u2 gigs.

Sadly tho, my last trip to see them, to London, in 2017, i was meant to go to 2 Joshua Tree 30 gigs. I made it to half a gig. My Anxiety was off the scale that weekend. But there were other factors at play. This tiny town boy, from the Highlands of Scotland, flew to london by himself and dealt with getting around, by myself.
And probably, the BIGGEST factor, that made me struggle so much, was it was ROASTY TOASTY in London that weekend. I struggled to sleep and cope with the heat. Turns out, some londoners told me they struggled with the heat that weekend too. So all in all, it was a lot to tackle for this individual, who struggles to cope a lot of the time  8)

31 years ago, I think August 12. 1992, Giants Stadium. My dad drove me 10 hours (600 miles) to see it. Thank you, dad.

Saw Disposable Heroes as opener. We were on the field/floor but not GA. I remember just about dying when I heard the opening notes of Zoo Station. I’d seen them on the first leg in March, but you still could have clocked me with a hammee and I wouldn’t have blinked.

From outside a cafe we stopped at on the way.
