Unfortunately I missed the exact day, but I walked against this article vid: http://festileaks.com/2017/10/16-oktober-1980-eerste-show-u2-nederland/

They're playing Electric Co. and I Will Follow. If you're interested in the article, it says mainly this: they played their first concert at the Melkweg in The Netherlands when the album wasn't even released. In the video you see them playing for a radiostation called KRO. U2 played for 100 man.

I think without this video I wouldn't get I Will Follow in Amsterdam this tour. Bono said: You owe this one. Here in The Netherland was one of our first big moments. He was referring to this, I think. Glad I found this :).

This is nice, too.

Hahah Bono is demented in this! Fabulous stuff. I LOVE their early live career, and have collected around 100 shows from the first three tours. I listen to them more than any other tour recordings.
What are we going to do now it's all been said.
No new ideas in the house and every book has been read.

They're having so much energy. But it's a shame they didn't play their other albums in that era  ;) ???.

Good point, JFW...can you just imagine AB or Pop, with that kind of energy? whew.

It's a special era. Even if they play those songs now, even on TJT17, it's lifting you up. It might be punk?
