has died.

If anyone wants to disrespect her here I’ll come over to your house and kick your fucking arse.

She did an amazing song with Gavin Friday, U2’s artistic director.

Amazing vocal on Nothing Compares to You.

Sad that she was such a troubled person throughout her life.

RIP

I like the song she did with the Pogues.  Sad news.  Seems like her personal life has been in pieces for a while now.

Absolutely gutted. Such a sad story, a troubled soul - and then her son taking his life a year ago.

Adored her, she was a phenomenal singer and songwriter.

The Nothing compares to you performance from Chile on YouTube or Black Boys on Mopeds, as just two examples.

Edge played a part in her early career but I wonder if they fell out over Sinead’s criticism over the Catholic Church, Ireland, etc.

Criticising the Catholic Church was one of the many things this amazing woman should be remembered for.

A thread to post memories, songs, thoughts, about Ireland's most controversial singer.

Absolutely.  Anyone defending the Catholic Church and especially its nefarious role in Irish history should have their head examined.

RIP, a beautiful soul.

Not a fan tbh. Mandinka was a great song and there were some corkers on her second album. I know she had her mental health troubles and, from experience, that can be a hard slog. I hope her mind is at ease now. RIP.
