Honestly I've only listened to the strings version once and it was just now, but I like the album version a bit more.

I dislike both renditions of the song, but the album version is a more tolerable listen.

It's better done than the acoustic version of SOI. But I think Lights of Home has been written well and has good music in it. So no need for a strings version. I miss the riffs of guitar and bass and how they're played on it. I love the way the first verse/chorus is played different than the second. I like the strings version, but the normal version more.

Could Exile load his hybrid version on dropbox?  :D

Strings version by a long way. Completely transforms the song for me. I wasn't that interested in this song until I heard the strings version of it. Now put that into my SOE playlist at 2.

I like them both.

I think the album version is the better one though.

The album version suffers for its lack of strings, and the Strings version suffers for its lack of drums. My Hybrid Mix beats them both.  :)
