Paul McCartney - 3 hours, 40 songs, phenomenal
« on: December 05, 2017, 05:04:25 PM »
I just saw one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Sir Paul, take a bow. His voice isn't what it was, but for energy on the stage and in the crowd, it was incredible.

Last week I saw one of the worst concerts I've ever seen (thanks so much Sia). Glad I didn't pay for that one.
The Edge: “[Eno] would love to see us making albums a bit more like [Zooropa]. Where we go, ‘You know what? We’re not going to second-guess any of this. Let’s just go for it.’”

U2 Fans: We'd all love to see that, Edge.

Melbourne. Came back for a one song encore, stayed for another eight.

So he's picked up his form since the London Olympics Closing Ceremony?  When I watched that I couldn't believe how bad he looked and sounded and that was for just a short performance.

Yeah definitely better than London, Shank, but that was 5 years ago. He's aged well. ;)

Felt like a fare well this is his last Australian tour show.

I was lucky to see The Cure do an incredible 35 song set list too.

I wish the Cure would come back to the states and tour rather than just doing festivals.

Melbourne. Came back for a one song encore, stayed for another eight.

That's the usual length of his encores.

I've seen Sir Paul twice now, both times he blew me away with how much energy he has, especially for his age. He genuinely seems to love playing those songs for the audience, nothing about it seems phoned in or just out of duty. It's just a joy to watch him live.
