Download Codes Not Working

My vinyl copy FINALLY arrived in the mail today with one problem: the digital download code isn't working. After scanning the Internet I've discovered a lot of people are having this issue. Apparently the codes that were sent with the vinyl aren't valid or are difficult to redeem. Just a heads' up for those of you expecting to listen to this album on the go. It's soured any excitement I had for spinning the album tonight, as I'll now have to shell out another $10 to buy it on iTunes.

I'm sorry that happened to you. 

Is there not anything that U2.com can do to sort this out? I know that's a tall order for the website, but surely they're aware of the issue and could possibly provide you with a new code, right?

Save $10, listen on youtube. Wait for your code to work/get sent a new code.
